Math, a subject so very abstract, in a way. Quantity. Numbers. Operations. I've mechanically worked my way through the days of addition and subtraction to the present days of Calculus. Problem after problem, test after test, year after year, and here I am.
Solving problems . A method used to get an answer from a question. Two simple words in everyday life - Question and Answer . Think about them . Do you have a defnition for these two words ? What exactly is a Question and what is an Answer ? Both are thoughts , agreed , but why are they so different ? Why is a 'Question' mind boggling , disorienting or intellectually irritating , whereas an 'Answer' so strangely satisfying ?
I guess that brings me to the most distinguishing in-built attitude that Human Beings possess. That everything around them should be in place , organised . Randomness simply terrifies us . We cannot accept things for the way they look like or the way they are, and say they are what they are , because they just are .. Everything should have a Reason behind it. An Answer .
It is terrifying to think that Randomness controls our lives . That there is no simple solution , no simple way of things , no simple Reason why things happen . When we want to get away from the monotonity of our routines , and get down to think about life , to think philosophically , all we do is search for an Answer . The Answer to our life . Why do things happen the way they do ? Why am I, I? What will happen to me ? And as our in-built system tells us - There is an answer to every one of these questions.
For most people around the world, this answer has come in the form of Faith . God . Every question they have had, has been answered religiously . Where do we go after death ? What controls the things that happen ? For others, their answer has come in the form of a word called Fate . For others , the search is not over yet.
Interconnecting the practical world of Solving problems , and the philosophical world of Searching , I've tried to convey the true meaning of searching for an answer . After all , these two worlds are just the same , you just have to look through those equal to signs , through those variables , through all those numbers , through all those functions , and try to see something beyond.......and once you have removed the physical world of symbols , you will stare at that one concept that Drives us all. You will find that as always , you are
