Page 12

[ Hi everyone, after a really really long time, at the gallery. Haven't updated for like 7 months now . The following is a drawing I had done 6 months ago but was too lazy to upload. Its kinda philosophical , so for those of you who thought I lost it after reading the previous page, then just skip the text ! ]

I often wonder how many people there are in this world like me, who wake up suddenly from the material world and think ' where am i ' and ' what is the meaning of life ' ? Its when I'm in states like these when even the simplest of things that happen in my life seem so deeply philosophical.

Like the time when I just stared at these tiny insects around the tube light of my room. I just wondered.... what would it be like, living for only 10 days like that insect ? Being able to experience life for only a little more than a week and then just pass out into oblivion ? Was it a mission they had to accomplish, to 'visit' life , and then go back to where they came from ? Was their existence merely to ensure the continuity of the circle of life, and the balance of the ecosystem , or is there something much, much, more to it ? I have seen the insect grow and die , and it has made no difference to me . But the insect's turn is over. For it, those ten days were LIFE.

In comparison to the eternity of time, 10 decades and 10 days of life hardly make a difference.

Its inevitable that I will reach my declining years some day. A day when I can look back at the stages of my life, and just be content in knowing that I was given a chance to see this world, and feel its beauty.

For this world has been beautiful before I was here, and will forever be beautiful . The tides of time, and the winds of change may turn us all from young saplings to leaveless trees, but we will all be able to say that we have had a taste of life, and a taste of that beautiful sun which will shine even when we're gone ,

Now and Forever

The sun in this pic is Time, that which will see us being born, watch us grow and see us die, just like i had seen the insect , and the leaveless tree is myself, in my old age when I will watch the beautiful world go by, and leave with the happiness that beauty was , is and will always be.

I started off with the sunset background, then did the silhoutte of the tree and in the end, the glare of the sun was just another feature of Adobe photoshop . I haven't put the stages section for this. In case you are interested in the transitions, just email me.

Hope you liked it. Comments at my guestbook , please .

The next drawing is .... well just check it out.
